We are pleased to announce that Kyodo Yushi has shared the 2017 Best Paper Award of Japanese Society of Tribologists (JAST) with Dr. Yoshitsugu Kimura, professor emeritus of the University of Tokyo, professor emeritus of the Kagawa University. The subject of the award-wining article is "Film Thickness and Traction in Soft EHL with Grease."

JAST was established in 1956 with an aim of enhancing tribology technology. JAST's Best Paper Award is given to papers, journal articles, technical papers and brief papers as study results appeared in JAST publications after passing the society's peer review. (2017 awards were given to papers published in Vol. 59, No.7 - Vol 62 No.6, Tribologist. Up to two papers are awarded the prize basically.)

The 29th Tribology Study Group was held at Pacifico Yokohama Conference Center on 26th January, 2018. [With Kyodo Yushi as Secretariat and Dr. Yoshitsugu Kimura, professor emeritus of the University of Tokyo, as chairperson.] The theme of the conference was "Tribosystem: Life Extension and Sophisticated Evaluation Techniques" and speakers from different industries gave lectures on the latest relevant technologies.

Kyodo Yushi Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that the company has successfully transitioned to ISO9001:2015, an International Standard of Quality Management System (QMS), in December 2017.

Divisions of Kyodo Yushi_Quality Assurance HQ, Technical HQ, Manufacturing HQ, obtained ISO9001 certification in December 1996. We had made efforts to renew the certification to offer products and services with more appropriate qualities and further enhanced efficiency.

This time, our R&D Center, Kameyama Office and Plant, and Kasaoka Plant, intentionally as site facilities, have accomplished certification to ISO9001:2015. The entire company has renewed its determination to make efforts to meet customers' expectation, deepen their trust and satisfaction.

Kyodo Yushi Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that the company has successfully transitioned to ISO14001:2015, an International Standard of Environmental Management System (EMS), in December 2017.

Kyodo Yushi achieved ISO14001 certification; Kameyama Plant obtained it in April 2000, Kasaoka Plant in April 2001.

Responding to Global preservation activities growing increasingly important, we have followed laws and regulations related to business activities and the industries. We have made efforts to prevent environmental pollution, employed materials friendlier to the environment and cut down waste materials and emissions.

With an aim to further preserve the local environment, we have set our goal as our environmental management, stepping up efforts by from individual plant to the entire production plants. In the activity of re-examination and transition to ISO14001:2015, we have decided to unify our EMS currently run by two plants respectively to enhance its efficiency and to improve total quality further.

Obtaining one certification for our EMS for both Kameyama Office and Plant, and Kasaoka Plant has strongly renewed our recognition that "offering technology and products friendly to people and the environment" is one of the responsibilities in business activity. The entire company has determined to make a united effort in our environmental management.
